Senior Living Property Prices Reach Record High
All three types of senior living properties exhibited record-high average sales
prices in 2007, according to The Senior Care Acquisition Report, 13th Edition,
published by the Norwalk, Conneticut-based research firm Irving Levin
Associates Inc.
The average sale price per assisted living unit was $159,100 in 2007, 20%
higher than the year before. Average sales pricing for independent living units
also rose 20% last year to $174,000.00 per unit. Skilled nursing facility beds
averaged $55,200 - 6 percent higher than the year before and 75 percent more
than the rock-bottom low of 2003.
